SILTA
SILTA is a program that takes early-stage founders from Finland to the San Francisco Bay Area for three months to build their companies and immerse them into the vibrant and lively culture.
SILTA sets the scene for the participants to focus on building their companies and competences to become world-class founders. The program aims to provide the participants with custom activities that might help the participants with reaching their program objective - depending on the participation agenda this could mean anything from making necessary introductions to investors to organizing events for networking or a gathering of experts from a particular domain.
MIMIR Fellows
MIMIR Fellows is a program and a network enabling efficient use of technology and science to form and evolve impactful companies. This program ventures into deep tech and academic research that can radically address some of our world’s biggest problems. Think fusion, not apps. Student-driven movements like Slush have proven that this type of shift in attitudes is possible.

The Startup Refugees team believes that refugees and other newcomers bring huge economic and human potential to Finland. This is why they established the Startup Refugees Fund which offers support for newcomer founders.
The fund is for everyone who believes that the Finnish startup ecosystem needs more diversity and inclusion. The founders and teams receiving the funding are from the Startup Refugees Business Program and have a promising business idea or a running business but are not attracting investors yet.
The recipients of the funding are selected by an external jury which consists of Startup Refugees network members, individuals and experienced newcomer entrepreneurs.
